Because San Diego has amazing beaches and great weather all year long many couples elope to San Diego to have that perfect intimate wedding ceremony or a beach wedding elopement. It sure beats a quick wedding in Las Vegas or the sterile feel of a county courthouse. When you elope to San Diego you can still have that special wedding you have always dreamed. The best part is that you can pick any day that works best for you. Monday through Sunday is a perfect day to elope to San Diego. Between Oceanside and Coronado there are many private beaches that are perfect for eloping to San Diego without needing a permit by the city. We have a few beach wedding elopement packages and options for you to choose.Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, Cardiff, Carlsbad, or Oceanside all have gorgeous places to have your intimate wedding ceremony without the need of a permit. If you want to have your beach wedding elopement on Sunset Cliffs or the Hotel Del California as a backdrop you will most likely need a permit. You can always call the county or check out their website to apply for the permit. This permit would need to be obtained before your book Socal Vows to officiate your ceremony. The cost of the permit is around $200. You will also want to make an appointment to get your marriage license. This page will give you the information you need to make your appointment.
IMPORTANT: Because you would be having your intimate ceremony in San Diego you need to get your marriage license from ANY county recorder in the state of California.

***Permits are required at Sunset Cliffs, Cuvier Park or Wedding Bowl, Calumet Park, La Jolla Cove, Torrey Pines, Scripps Park, Mission Beach, Mission Bay Park, Pacific Beach, and Carlsbad State Beach. You must have a permit to have a wedding of any size in these locations. If you are unsure be sure to check with the appropriate city to confirm.
